VW also confirmed plans to continue pursuing solid-state batteries as its end goal under a newly standardized Unified Battery Cell as an intermediate step in eventually moving to a liquid-free battery easier in the future.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">"We are now systematically integrating additional stages in the value chain.
