No, about $250 from rock auto.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you guys were talking about some 43mm's for the Rear. I already purchased the ATS fronts yesterday. Looking for what you guys ended up running for the Rears.

90s something taurus caliper. Sorry I can't remember the years but it's posted in this thread. They are also cheap though.

Thank you both! I’ll have to do some searching on the web to find a set.

With some of the SN95 17x8, even with a spacer I question if wheel weights can be applied to the barrel in that location. It’s tighter on some than others.

I just swapped out my spare 17x8 Bullitts and I don't think they will clear with the ATS calipers. There's barely any room with them and the Cobra calipers. I might try again once I get the offset bushings machined.

The bullitts clear with the offset bushings but you’ll need a spacer

I couldn’t sleep last night and read most of the 42 pages on here, but I cannot find anyone posting about the caliper thickness of the ATS vs the stock 2004 front caliper.

Does anyone have the exact measurements? I’m in the market for some new wheels and need to crunch some offset numbers.

Thanks!!

Mine are on a shelf as a paperweight and easy to access. I just don’t have a stock 2004 cobra caliper kicking around

What measurement are you looking for specifically? Just the thickness from front face to the rear banjo bolt mounting surface?

Thanks for the replies guys. Let me add more info…

I bought a Terminator with the ATS Brembos already installed. I need to know how much more they protrude vs the stock calipers in order to calculate spoke clearance.

I’m in the market for some new 18” wheels, and this info would be highly useful. I guess anyone with stock front calipers can chime in. Either or both of these would help:

1) How much clearance between stock Cobra caliper to OEM 17 wheel spoke?

2) How thick is OEM caliper at its widest point compared to the face of the rotor?

Thanks!!

I have some measurements from when I ordered my BC forged wheels. This might help you.

Had to convert to MM for BCForged.

Thanks Termn804. If I understand it, then it is measurement A which is the face of the rotor to the max protrusion of the caliper…which is 46mm. If so, that is very helpful.

I’ll check my car’s current setup and post those results too.

Thanks!

That is correct, 1-13/16” (46mm) from rotor hat to front facing.

Rough measurements, but best i can do off the car. The parting line of the brembo is roughly where the center of the rotor sits.

Measuring from the mounting fact of the mouting flange might be a better way to compare. In my case, i machined 0.075" off the face, so if you are installing the inserts without machining, add 0.075" to your number.

I do have a cobra caliper sitting around. Let me see if i can get a similar measurement

The perspective of the photos makes my measurement points look off, but i'm just trying to show where I'm measuring from. the 3.5" measurement (add 0.075" if not machined) compared to the cobra caliper will likely be the most indicative of clearance

This pic is showing me measuring from topmost insert face, to face of caliper.

ANd cobra caliper. 2.6" give or take. Looks like the ATS would extend almost another inch beyond the face of the cobra caliper. The cobra caliper is a floating design keep in mind, so as the pad wears the caliper face would push away from the rim spokes. The body of the caliper (red in my pic) extends past the black caliper bracket about 1/4" or so.

Anyone have any info showing if the 14" XTS setup (with or without the 43mm vargas rears) out performs the 13" ATS setup on a 03/04 cobra? I have the S&S engineering kit ordered and trying to decide which way to go. Thanks!

Sorry if this has already been answered, but where can I find the Cobra and Brembo lettering? Anyone on this site make them? I know they have to be high temp
