I rebuilt both and thought I would share the process and some pictures. Hopefully this will help someone as I’ve gained a lot of knowledge here and if someone has info to add please do so. This gis starting from the point the IMRC’s are removed from the vehicle. 1. Remove butterfly’s (2 screws each). I have a small handheld torch and applied jut a little heat and they came right out. Set aside in a specific order so that they will go into the same spot they were removed. 2. Pull rod back and release tension from the spring. Continue to remove the rod completely. 3. Remove bearings from plate. I used a small old flathead screw driver and hammer to hit at opposite sides until the bearing came out. Took a few good hits but they start moving eventually. The replacement bearing part number is S688-2RS. 4. Install new bearings. I used a socket that matched the outside diameter and gently hammered it into place. 5. Remove old o-rings from rods (cut them off) and slide new ones on. The o-ring size is 008. Also, coat each o-ring with a light coat of oil. 6. Slide rod back into plate (don’t forget to put spring back on). Make sure the spring is aligned properly and set the tension. This is where doing only one plate at a time comes in handy so you can match the tension and spring location to the one you haven’t touched yet. 7. Put butterfly’s back on. I used loc tight on the screws just to be safe. Here are some pictures:
