I'm having the absolute worst luck with this damn car. I've had it since September,
-on my way home from buying it, caught fire (fog light overheated burnt up the harness)
-that night the tow truck ripped the bumper off
-dad took the car out while it was "stored" and ****ed up the chin spoiler (he paid for a new one)
-then today I go to take it to work for its once or twice a week drive and see someone ran into the NEW BUMPER!! Paint is gone all the way to the plastic in 3 spots. No note, nothing

I'm beyond furious at this point. No security cameras, nobody has seen anything. Trust me I'm looking. I keep the car parked in the far lot at the complex so nobody parks near it and so I dont take up 4 spots at the apartment. With that being said, we close on our house at the end of May and I couldnt be happier to be getting a ****ing garage.

End rant.
Sorry guys

Saw that on IG man, couldn't like the pic because that's not something to like.

BRIGHT SIDE: All the problems you had with your car were front bumper related! Would be worse if someone backed into your quarter panel or fender.

Everyone has their fair share of problems with their cars, me included. They'll always be a love hate relationship, hopefully more love though

Thanks man. Yea it's a giant love hate at this point. We are in our last month of being at this apartment complex and this shit happens. I should of just left it at my dads in the garage. Oh well, time to suck up the $500 hit and get it repainted.

Sorry about your luck hope it gets better. Congrats on the house.

Thanks man, we've had allot of good luck in the last 2 years so I'm not gonna let this slow us down. I'll post up pics once she's nice and tucked away in her new spot

As someone else said it could be a lot worse. Any metal panel hit would of been real shitty to deal with. Probably the best spot for it to happen is the bumper, easy fix. Congrats on the garage i couldn't live without one lol

I know the feeling. I've had very similar issues with my car. It's like you can't keep the damn thing from having dents or anything in it.

Your car wasn't sacraficed for the sake of the house purchase, so that's a win. Seems like that's the number one reason you see people selling their toy car.

I'm actually really grateful that its all be the front bumper. I seriously don't know how I've made it this long without one. Thanks!

I know man. My first cobra I had for 2 yrs, not a single issue ever. This one, day one it goes up in flames. Crazy

Yes sir, even with the few bad things that seem to happen we have had allot of good things happen in the last 2 years so I really cant complain. Thanks man

I'll be honest. I sold my very first cobra (03 tenth anniversary) to fund getting married and moving into our first place. It was the #1 regret I have ever had. It was the car my wife and I drove in for the first year we knew each other and there were so many trips and dates with that car. When I sold her it was heart breaking. I think after about a week we started shopping for a new one. I lasted 7 months before buying another black 10th anniversary haha. My wife made me promise that we would never sell the cobra. Said she would rather not have a cell phone, internet, cable, it doesn't matter what we have to cut out. It just won't be the cobra. We are much better off now, thankfully. I found a winner :coolman:

Sorry for the luck bud. My fiancee is the same way, she says I'm 'not allowed' to sell the cobra hahaha first date was in the cobra, all our road trips, etc. she can recognize my cobras exhaust over other 4v exhausts.

Sorry to hear OP, When you get the new Garage check the clearance. I have to back my car in to avoid wrecking the bumper. Also go to a near by church and get some holy water and Sprinkle it on your repaired bumper and whole car and house for that matter.:poke: Congratulations on the house purchase.

I've had the same luck with my 3rd front bumper, last time someone backed into it in my driveway, but I know the stoner that did it ;)

oh and btw my 1st week at my current job someone backed into my bumper in the parking lot, put a nice gash in the grille opening.

Of course no cameras, no one saw shit, etc. Owner of the place said 'sorry you're SOL'

I take it as a compliment, someone wanted some of the cobra sexiness to rub off on them. it happens.

Thanks fellas. Yea shitty shit just seems to happen no matter what you do. Here in a month she'll be tucked away in her garage and I wont worry as much.

Yea the worst part is, the cobra is a 3rd car. So 90% of the time she sits in the same parking spot at home.
