Even 94/95 cobra’s are up in the 5 digit mark for clean ones which is insane considering they have only depreciated ~50% in 25 years. Compare that to something like a 2005 ctsv or gto which can be had for $10k. Fords performance line from svt to st to fp keep good values because they don’t quantum leap every year, but rather every 2-3 years. Chevy is just the punch drunk high school quarterback that can win most home games, Ford is the measured sober quarterback that goes pro more often than not. Lately the Camaro has really pressed the performance envelope well into the pro rank, thing is the car as a whole is still missing something. The mustang gt500 is now at a stage where it’s getting into hyper territory. It just picked up 98hp, a dct, an irs, carbon fiber wheels, track aero, and gucci fanboy hate for its cowboy grade panel gaps and vibrations by @Kaneda Yet he says nothing about those flaws on his germanized mopar. Selective questioning of the defendant but hey, he’s the one grilling the cars on stuff that few will worry about. His demon at $90k isn’t winning any beat assembled awards that I can assure you. Probably has orange peel paint in at least 3 areas and minimum 5 panel mishaps from assembly. Who cares, he’s Gucci shades hide that To put that $74k price tag in perspective, a 2003 z06 at $54k with 405hp is $75k in 2019 dollars. A $55k 385hp 2000 cobra R is $80k today. Today you can buy a $35k mustang with 460hp or a $45k one with 475hp or a $60k one with 526hp or a 74k one with 760hp. Pick your poison, they all are better values today (bang for the buck and overall performance/value/car) than their forebearers from the punch drunk 90’s and early 2000’s.
