I think the brake calipers are steel to help em last a long time and be cheaper to replace/service. I prefer manual always. I’m right there with ya. I’d never buy or want a carbon fiber $18k set of wheels. I agree. I’ll take $1-3k light (enough) wheels vs an upper entry level Hyundai of wheels I’m in business so I get fords pricing here. I can see the value in everything they are offering, but I just hope the people will buy it that have the means because they have left the base for sure. That said, the GTR buyers definitely weren’t Sentra seR lease returnee’s so it probably doesn’t matter. Let’s be honest, an 03 cobra ran 12.8@112 for $33k in 2003. A 2020 gt 10a will run 12.0@120 for $35k. Ford didn’t abandon the hot rodder. A manual 2020 gt 5.0 will run 12.3@117 with a great driver, and I bet someone will eventually get a 12.2@118. The gear spread is good enough for it. The bull it is great at $42500 for nostalgia. Mach1 was $30k in 2003. 2007 Gt500 was $47500 in 2008. Nostalgia cars are as much about the performance as they are the character and the bullitt is cool, can run low 12’s with a driver. Gt350/r have already spoken for themselves. $50-75k mega hitters that drive like what wet dreams are made of. Even a new ecoboost performance thing for 2020 has 350hp and 0-60 in 4.5 seconds with 13.0 1/4. The gt500 has reached insane level. A $55k 2013 gt500 had 662hp and ran 11.65@124, a new $35k auto gt 5.0 can run 11.8@121 from the best I’ve seen. I would love a $60k loaded gt500 but ford has 0 need to cut their throat and do so
