It has regular street radials which appear to be 245/50/16 size. I would like a taller tire to fill out the rear wheel wells a little more. It will probably be mainly for looks but I am open to either a drag radial or regular street tire. I am unsure how much taller/wider I can go without running into clearance issues. I really don't want to roll the fenders or remove the quad shocks. I am also worried about losing gear if I ran a taller tire but I am not sure if this will be a Issue...............I am also curious if I went to a 17 inch wheel if I am ok to run a 17x8 with a 245/45/17 or a 17x9 rim with a 275/40 out back without rubbing and what one of these sizes would be ideal on the front. Thank you for any help.
This question probably has been beat to death but I currently own A modular Cobra and will be taking delivery of a 91 notchback hopefully sometime in April. Right now it has a Vortech S-trim, 3.73 gears, longtubes, H-pipe and a cam but I am unsure what one it has. It also has what I believe are 15x8 Weld Rod lite wheels on the rear.
