Instead of thinking what these gun channel youtubers tell you to maybe you should try thinking for yourself for a change. I'm sure you will still be supporting bumpstocks if your child gets mowed down by someone using one next year. 2A all the way, right?!!! Since bear arms is a literal phrase then why stop at semi-auto rifles. Let's just go ahead and make owning an fully functional RPG -7 legal for civilians to own. Surface to air missiles are arms too. I'm sure that back in 1791 the ever so wise forefathers knew that those such devices were to be developed in the future. SMH Look I'll be the first to agree the gun is not at fault in these mass shootings. Guns do what the operator behind them cause them do. However don't be ignorant. We all know that governments make decisions that are considered better for the greater good. We all know that the bad apples ruin it for the rest of the bunch. The world has gotten worse the past couple decades. Social media is a huge factor in that and the lack of good solid parenting is too. Jesus at the things I have had to teach my children to be aware of so that they can be safe. It's nothing like when I was a kid. Raising children today is a huge challenge. My children are trained to shoot and know where our guns are and how to use them. They know exactly what to do if someone tries to enter our home uninvited. I also carry a gun everywhere I go just to protect my family. I fully anticipate my children getting their CHLs when they are old enough to. And before you say, well what if the government turns on us and attacks our own people? Show me members of the armed forces that would actually carry out orders to attack their own fellow countrymen. Even if they actually did carry out the order your stupid little bump stock isn't going to do a damn thing against full auto 50 cal machine guns, tanks, AC130s and Apaches. Let's be real here. If you can't defend your home against unwanted visitors with a semi auto AR with a standard stock and a 30 round mag then you should go get some training. The government doesn't have to amend your precious amendment. They will just write new laws that restrict what is allowed by the amendment. They've done it in the past and they will continue to do so. There is a changing of the guard happening. All those diehard 2A "bear arms" literal meaning conservatives are dying off. Change is coming. You can continue to be stubborn or you can start compromising. Let the opposition ban them completely while you sit there mad or instead suggest a compromise to make them a NFA item that makes them harder to attain.
