We were the first in my family to drop the K-cups and go with a Nespresso Vertuo. Since then, my brother and sister have converted and we bought my in-laws one for Christmas. After we tried the Nespresso, the Keurig tasted like nothing more than dark water.

It’s a little inconvenient that you can pick up pods at the store but their app ships them out next day.

Best home brew coffee I’ve ever had.

We use almost the exact same one at the fire station. It’s a workhorse. Turns shit bulk-order coffee grounds into shit coffee. And I love it for that.

Just had to conduct some repairs to "Old girl" The water level float switch stuck in the up position, so the boiler didn't refill. This caused an overtemperature condition on the heating element, and tripped a safety switch. This machine is 19 years old next month, and we bought it new in Sardegna at my first duty station in Italy.

Dr told me i should cut coffee out. Even decaf. My response

My cousin owns a bar in Italy near naples.. He's constantly adjusting the pressure's on his machine depending on humidity in the air... That the key I guess to making that prefect cup of espresso

Humidity and the grind have to be tweaked frequently. I just came from near Naples about 2.5 years ago. Naples itself is a bit of a dump, but Italy overall was great.

Whoa! You're a barista! LOL. That's quite a coffee shop you have. Nice. And here I am with my lowly fresh ground/brewed medium and dark roast beans. Well, you should be all set for the family to celebrate with you on Christmas. ;)

I still have my original one from 20 years ago. It was good. I bought a new one for an RV trip last year and all it made was BBR coffee.

Just needs an Italian tune up. Bang it off the rev limiter a few times on a cold engine and she'll be fine.

Do you ever winterize your motor home? We have to remove our k style because residual water will freeze and screw it up. How does that one hold up?

Having spent a bit of time in Europe now, I'm hooked on Lattes and to a lesser extent cappuccinos. Normal coffee just isn't the same anymore.

And because Google is always listening now I'm starting to see Breville Expresso machines advertised. I'm tempted to invest in one but they're so expensive.
