Ok... let me fill you in as to what has happened before i ask my question. Moderators, I hope I cleaned this up enough. I posted it on another site, so I'm just copying and pasting. to catch you up to speed, realize that this was on Saturday and it was a combination of snow and ice on the road when this happened...

WELL, some f***ing a**hole in one of those 4x4 trucks that think they're invisible passed me. I was doing about 40 which was fast even for a normal car... anyway. as he's coming up to pass me, he clips my rear drivers side fender which puts me in a spin across three lanes of traffic into the back corner of an Escort and bounces me off the wall a few times... I'M ****ing PISSED The guy didn't even stop, but kept right on going... so guess who's there to hold the bag of **** when the officer arrives... that's right ME, and of course they don't believe that I was cliped because there is no evidence. I am going to kill someone. I need one new headlight and both bumpers replaced... My insurance is high enough without some sh**y assed driver thinking he owns the god da*n road and not being courteous enough to stop and take the ****ing blame for his stupidity... If I would've just smashed my car instead of hitting someone else, I would've chased him down till I got him and forced him off the road and beat the **** out of him... GOD I'M MAD... not even one ****ing month after getting the damn car, and I'm already in an accident. I'm moving down south where there is no snow to worry about:xpl:

I'm gonna try to pay for this on my own so as to avoid putting a claim on my insurance since it is already 1900 every six months

now that you are all up to speed, I have a couple questions... First. The bumpers need to be replace, BUT I was going to put a body kit on it eventually, so why not now? My question is, will a body kit replace the bumper, or only be added on to the existing bumper? Second question, Where can I find body kits that are nice, and don't look Gawdy? Thirdly, What is the cost to get something like that repaired. Please let me know as soon as you can as I need to get this figured out soon. Thanks for all your help in advance.

Wow man that sucks! (Damn your insurance is high!). Bodywork is never cheap, unless you know someone. So hopefully you have an inside connection somewhere. I'm not for sure but I would think a good body kit would replace the whole bumper not just tacking on to the existing one. If you were going to replace the bumpers anyway this may actually work out okay for ya. Goodluck!
