Okay, I have another thread talking about the idea.....well, I did it. I've owned my second cobra for 14 months. In that 14 months I've broken 6 fog lights. With shipping, the total for those fog lights were $270. When I broke my last one, I told one of my good friends that if I break another one, I'm pulling them.
Yesterday was the day. I checked the light for some reason before I left school. By the time I reached my house it looked like this
That was it. I was pretty mad. I've been looking at ideas for awhile on what I could do to eliminate them without a huge hole. One day while looking at this same friend's M3, I thought....."this wouldn't look so bad if done correctly."
So, here it is. My "fog light delete." I am beyond happy with the results as it turned out clean. My only change is that I need to powdercoat the next set. I used engine paint for now and baked it last night. Powdercoat should hold up better.
Process:
installed pic from the back
And the final product :banana::dancenana::banana:
I'll do my best to get better pics with a camera other than the one on my phone soon, but it might be a bit.
