I designed it. I did some of the work myself, other parts I subbed out. I had an excavator dig the hole. I did the LDS (layout, dig, steel). I subbed out the plumbing and shotcrete. I did the electrical rough in. I had a sub install the stone aggregate finish. I did the tile mosiac work. Hell yes. I just eliminated 2000 sq/ft of grass. Before I built it I got quotes from 3 major pool companies in the area. The way it sits I was quoted $28K - $30K. The way it sits right now without the new landscaping I spent $14,800 including equipment (two whisper flo pumps, filter, aquarite gold salt chlorinator, etc). Thanks. Thanks. I am quite happy with how it came out. It will be even nicer once I build the firepit and seating. Happy schnikes. The sunshelf/beach entry is 6" to 12" then 3.5' to 5.5' What do you mean? Sure. I am now helping two neighbors do theirs once they found out how much I saved. Most major pool companies price this way: 10% to the sales person, 35% profit, and 55% materials, supplies, and sub-contractor labor. So, by eliminating the first two you can save about 40 - 45% of retail, even more if you can do some of the subbed work yourself. Like I said it isnt landscaped yet. I will be adding the fire pit plus three Fox Tail Palms, a Robellini Palm, and a bunch of Crotins. I still want to be able to see the water and my boat.
