My car is a 2013 GT Premium and has a Roush Phase 1 TVS blower with an 82mm pulley and a VMP tune and it runs pretty good but I want more. I am stuck in Southern California so I have to deal with the smog laws around here and can't easily throw on long tubes and an offroad pipe. What point will I hit a wall with the OE exhaust (manifolds, cats, mufflers)? My eventual goal is to hit 9.99 in the 1/4 on e85 and slicks or drag radials but I want to build up a better long block first so I have less of a worry about the rods turning to spaghetti. Would shorty headers like the BBK (smog legal) make a difference? I am also thinking L&M intake cams and/or ported heads for the new build but I have a feeling the exhaust is going to be the cork in the system.
