The inside door handle to open the door has stripped completely on my 65 coupe. I have the replacement part but I don't know how to take the door panel off without damaging it. does anyone know how to remove the door panel and put it back together?

The door panel is held in with these clips...
Simply sliding a pry tool (or even a plastic putty knife so you're less likely to damage paint on the door shell) behind the panel, and gently prying, should do it. Just be careful, as OEM door panels are backed with fiberboard, and can tear fairly easily, especially at the slots where each clip slides into the panel.

thank you so much. It's been about a year since I have been able to open the door from the inside. what a hassle.
