I just installed the DDM tuning slim ballast kit on my car. Its a pretty simple job. An hours worth of time tops. So lets get to it shall we.

First Im not gonna insult anyones intelligence by telling you how to removed your headlight bulbs. Thats to easy. Ill show you what I did and how I placed everything.

Heres the package that everything came in. These Ballasts are small!!

I pulled out my airfilter box, pulled the battery, and battery tray to get some extra room to manuever around and try and find a happy little home for these. I bought some double sided 3M squares from Walmart and placed 4 on the Ballast and 2 on the ignitor.

After about 45 mins of thinking and shuffling I finally decided on a spot. This is the passenger side.

The drivers side wasnt to bad. Took me about 5 mins to figure this side out.

Here is the clearances for both with the battery and the airfilter installed.

Airfilter box does not touch the ballast what so ever.

Placing the ballast's was the hardest part of the whole thing. Now to the bulbs. I had to unpin the blue plug cause the plastic case that it came in wouldnt go over. No biggie. After its off I put the pins back in. They just push out no prob.

After that I put the black backing that locks the bulbs in onto the wire harness.

Place them in and finish it off.

The rest is a piece of cake. All you gotta do is plug everything back up. You cant mix anything up. Its a pretty plug and play setup. Here is some comparison shots.

in about a week youre going to realize how bad they are compared to the halogens. you wont be able to see anything in rain. theyre meant for projectors. im only saying this because i put them in my halogen housings, and the light output looked better at first, but after while you tend to notice it doesnt actually light up the road as well as the old halogens do.

Well when I couldnt see the road in the rain with my halogens in I had to do something about it. I kept my silverstars so if it does turn out that way then I can switch back and I didnt fork out 250 bucks you know. Or I go buy some projectors. No biggie. But thanks for looking out.
