For any of you that have installed any kind of aftermarket speaker in your front door I'm sure that you are pretty used to seeing this.

Heres a $20 / 30 minute fix for that.

Go to a Fabric store and buy some black material that is thick enough so it's not to transparent but at the same time not to thick so the sound from the speaker can pass through it without getting distorted. You only need 1/2 a yard of material but I think the least amount that they will sell it is a square yard.

Remove the door panel and lay it down with the inside of the panel facing up.

I used some painters tape to cover the grille area.

Trim around the speaker grille with a razor blade.

Spray some strong spray adhesive around the speaker grille and remove the tape. You want to let the spray adhesive tack up for a few minutes before you try to attach the material otherwise it will bleed through the material.

Start at one end of the grille and work your way to the other end making sure the material is tight.

Let the adhesive dry for a few more minutes and trim the extra material off with a razor blade.
