I did this on my last car and I can't for the life of me find the "how to" thread. I've searched both on here and google.

I know it involves a relay and tapping into the convertible top harness that all cobras have, but that's all I remember.

Any help would be great. My old cobra is locals, so If I can't find this soon, I might see if he'll let me pull it apart a little :rolling:

In case anyone is looking as well, I found the answer. Cut the BROWN wire on the back of the fog light switch and splice the brown wire from the switch into the WHITE/PURPLE wire off the convertible top harness (yes, coupe has this harness too) under the shifter connected to the center console. Cap off the other piece (harness side) of the brown wire  Done. Total time should be under 10 minutes.

I've done it in my car. Pretty sure I did it using a how-to article from American Muscle

So this can not be done on a Convertible?

What I am thinking is cant you just wire it up to a key on wire?

This way, probably not, but your idea seems worth exploring

Will this make the fogs work as DRL's?

Ok So how can you do this to a convertible?

I just did this and wondered why my fog lights don't work but my headlights are now controlled by my fog light switch.

Figured it out. I tapped into the violet wire, not the WHITE/VIOLET wire. When I went to the right wire it works perfect. Now I disconnected my DRL's and bent over the #2 pin on the fog light relay and I have full time fog lights controlled by the fog light switch.

So you actually got this working on a vert? Hmm.. may have to try this.

    How did you disable DRL?

you would push the foglight switch correct?

or if every other car is like mine, the fog light switch does not actually turn the fogs off.

On mine I just swapped a pin from the traction control button into the foglight button. But my traction control was already effed anyway
