Lately I've noticed a lot of these new rock groups destroying classic songs. Latest two terrible examples that make me want to ice pick my ear drums.

Although Metallica's "Turn the Page" is not as good as Seger's, it's still pretty good.
Spine Shank did do a good coverI cant stand either of those 2 new covers but dear lord do they play the shit out of them on Sirius.
Cant get to it right now but I like the cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps by Spine Shank and cant remember if is Virgos or Virgos Merlot cover of Maybe I'm Amazed
Nirvana something in the way cover by At SeaUsed to listen to All That Remains a lot. Not so much anymore.
Felt like they should of added a heavier part in that song to add their own touch. Just same tone over and over.
Off the top of my head, covers that were done well, and not mentioned:
Johnny Cash, Hurt
Orgy, Blue Monday
Seether, Careless whisper
Nirvana, Lake of Fire(Live)
Manson, Personal Jesus
Killswitch Engage, Holy Diver
I listened to both back to back and I find that I love both versions for different reasons. Kobain puts more feeling into the song and Bowie just rocks the song.Sad to say, but I think Nirvana did a better version of this song than Bowie.
