    Yep.
    • Diesel/HD/MD trucks are far away from ever being replaced.
    • It'll take 30 years for EVs to constitute a large chunk of the light duty/car market.
    • EV cars will predominately be in the suburban/city areas either way
Gas will be around for a very long time

I'll continue to daily drive my 7.3L Tremor even if fuel hits $10/gallon, just to stick it in everyone's face.

OP I have a really similar plan. 250 7.3 is definitely the route I want to go. I hope to god gas stays around for a long time. Unreal how in a matter of weeks a group of crazy democrats and flip our lives and passions on its collective ear

I’ll agree we need alternative energy sources... we actually had one called keystone pipe line. USA does a better job than most of the world in terms of carbon emission yet other countries aren’t held to the same standards we are.

I'd grab your 7.3L now, before the big blocks go away!

Lol yeah sure Beijing Biden issues what over 100 EO’s now? Can’t remember what shit sandwich he ate for breakfast. Price of gas has already shot way up, killed thousands of jobs. Wants to infringe on gun rights, and freedom of speech. Done nothing different for the Chinese Virus but hey I’m sure Beijing Biden and Knee Pad Harris make you feel all fuzzy and warm inside because Trump hurt your feelings.

this really makes me sad, probably not the only company’s either going or thinking about go. We’re getting things shoveled down our throats at a fast rate.

It will be around for as long as people demand it.... Regardless of what idiotic politicians and climate activists want. They can even outlaw it, and it will still be made and consumed. Just like alcohol was for 13 years during prohibition.

I for one love v8 sports cars, and as long am I'm alive (hopefully another 60 years or so) I will be driving the hell out of one and loving it.

People still race horses. Gasoline and diesel will be around at least until 2045. Average age of vehicles now on the road is 12 years. Figure ICE gone at 2030 still leaves ICE cars on the road for 15 years. Specialty vehicles, back country(think logging) heavy equipment, generators will all still need fuel. It will be awhile.

    Great topic:
Almost any scenario is possible and only the very lucky gamblers or insiders will profit from it.

Oil companies are already shutting down their deep sea rigs.

It will be a race between the oil companies transitioning to other battery tech/mfg and leaving the gas business. But even they cannot tell which way the wind is blowing these days.

I tend to think the change in infrastructure from gas to electric will take some time.

And I still have trouble seeing where battery technology will go. Batteries need to get way better and way cheaper.

It is going to be messy no matter what.
