I've got 500+ miles on the Cobra now, and while the shifter is getting better, it still hangs up between gears, and feels like the synchros are very stiff. I'm used to other manual transmissions having a nice smooth "snick snick" going between gears, and am disappointed in how clunky the 6-speed is on this car. IMHO it's not the shifter but the tranny itself. How long did it take your cars' shifting to9 smooth out?

Mine was a bit notchy for the first 1500. I'm at 4k now and it is pretty damn smooth now. Still haven't gone to an aftermarket shifter. good luck.

I'm at 2K and mine is much better. I have been told to switch out the shifter and that it makes all the difference in the world.
After market shifter will give you the results desiired,I have not yet installed mine but I have the pro 5.0,Good Luck Dave S.
