My argument is simply that you made the sale happen multiple times and thus you were the one making the contribution to the national sales number. The customers that purchased them got them as a result of your sales efforts and no one elses. I don't see the program defined in further detail but the simple golden ticket crap we are now seeing. Is there fine print elsewhere regarding this very situation that further clarifies? Furthermore, this... "Ford's argument is, which I understand, that since I acquired all of these vehicles from other dealers that the first dealers would've sold them if I hadn't...so it's not like I created sales, I just moved them around." Woulda, coulda, shoulda....bottom line, you made the sale. Who gets credited for the sale of a vehicle that was swapped from another dealer? Other than the one that sold that specific vehicle, the dealer that originally had the car? In addition, the above in quotes shows how the discriminatory practice works. You paid to be part of the program. You met the sales numbers. But now you are penalized because Ford didn't want you to have those vehicles in the first place, thus ensuring that you never acquire a Wonka Ticket. That is pure rubbish, against the spirit of the program with respect to sales, and a selectively administered program designed to reward only those that Ford deems worthy, regardless if you made the same successful efforts to help Ford achieve their sales goals. In essence, this is garbage. A slap in the face to loyal dealers and a situation that creates even more problems from an eager to buy public that is ultimately turned away.
