Well after getting a set of Weld RTS S71 medium pad wheels in a 18x9 and 18x10.5 I ended up sending them back due to NEVER being able to upgrade brakes with the medium pad wheel.

I call Weld and ask for high pad part numbers and the front specs they recommend are 18x9 5.6” BS +15 Offset and 18x10.5 6.6” BS and +22 Offset.

The rear specs do not seem like an issue to me but I’m worried the fronts will stick out too much.

I know Intervention302 had 6.1” BS/+28mm offset but has anyone ran the 5.6” BS Wheels with that extra 1/2” of track width has me concerned.

Not sure if this is a good reference for you or not. But I run a 17x8 with a 5.5 back spacing + 1/4 spacer so =5.75 back spacing. The tire sits pretty perfect with the front fender.

I also really like the look of the medium pad. I think Wildwood makes a kit that will work.
What brake upgrades are you looking for?
My ‘93 Cobra is getting a Coyote swap and has ‘03 Cobra Anniversary brakes and I’m also looking for potential brake and wheel upgrades.
I’m not as familiar with the Cobra stuff as the newer GT500 stuff.

Nice. What size tire is that 255/45?

I would like to run a 14” Brembo or Baer setup down the road, just hate to be limited by wheels that I order and wait on now.

18x9 medium pad is a 5.7” backspace
18x9 high pad options are 6.1” or 6.6”

My fronts are RTS S71 18x9 with 6.1 back spacing (71HB8090A61A), fit perfectly. Rears are 18x11 with 6.6" backspacing (71HB8110A66A) all are high pad wheels.
