HELP WITH V-BANDS any one?

is there any trick to this things?? every single V-band i have in the car ( the 2 from the manifolds to the turbo and the one for downpipe they all leak. i take em apart put them together alignt them right made sure the mid ring is in place and still leaks leaks leaks... is there any trick to this ? gaskets ? paste? any one?

I guess you could use some RTV if you are really that worried about it, but a V Band clamp pulls the two pipes together nicely as long as the pipes are arppoximated well. There may be a little leakage, but it is negligible.

im gonna have to go that route or take it to a muffle shop see what they can do about it. its driving me insane im pretty sure its slowing my turbo spool because of that and its pretty massive i hate exhaust leaks i can handle valve ticking lifters clacking but not exhaust leaks
