Tom, I think that Ford decided they were not going to get to the 1375 CFTP production number they had planned on and because of the extended model year they decided to take advantage of the CFTP orders still in the order bank that were unallocated and unscheduled/material hold, so they decided to go through the orders and approved some of these cars for production. I am basing this on my experience with my 2013 GT500. I ordered the 13 in May 2012 and was told that I had their one and only allocation. 2 months later I find out that the sales manager had used the only allocation for a car for stock. Now I am sitting on the side of the road without an allocation. On Nov 19, 2012, I just get back from another dealer after ordering a 2014 and I get a call from the original dealer and he asked me if I still wanted the 2013 and he said that he got a last minute allocation through an allocation lottery. I decided to go with the 2013. Normally the dealer Rep would notify them if they were not going to get a CFTP because they did not have an allocation and advise the dealer to change the order to a car that could be built. But there were Reps that didn't do their job and let the order stay in the order bank. This would account for the unallocated CFTP orders that were still in the order bank and available for consideration. Earl
