^^I had a minor repair after some idiot side swiped me. I asked the body shop specifically what the difference would have been if it were a steel bodied truck because I was curious. They charged $10 more per hour on the body work which equated to 9.5 hours of total work. They added 2 hours additional hours to the job because of the aluminum so the total difference was about $300 additional compared to the same job on a steel truck. As far as the corrosion goes I'm not sure yet, only time will tell...I will say that I personally don't give a rip because I only keep vehicles MAYBE 3 years at the most. Even living in the northeast with all the salt even steel vehicles don't corrode quickly enough for it to matter to me. However I do take care of my truck meticulously and it's washed at least once if not twice daily during the winters here. (I have an unlimited membership with a local carwash chain) I have noticed no corrosion whatsoever on the body or under the truck. The chevy commercial dissing the bed floor in the Ford is a joke as well. I have a spray on liner and there is not one dent in the floor or walls of my bed and it's had countless loads of lumber, firewood, bricks, etc in it since the day I picked her up August 2015. And with bolt ons and 5 star tune in her the truck runs in the 12's and pulls my 10,000 lb camper (when loaded) with no problems and getting about 10MPG. My 2011 f150 with the 6.2 worked harder towing it and barely got 6MPG towing the same camper.
