Healthy gains, thanks for sharing!
That baseline is spicy, but not surprising given the octane. Trans should feel even better as well. Will look into the speed limiter for sure.
Lemme know when you’re ready for the next step!

Always ready for that! lol. Trans feels incredible. Drove it a bit today. Super crisp shifting now.

Is that your car J?
IIRC,.....it is a manual as well?
Yessir.
I waited til the bitter end for a manual wide body and some connections got it built the week before the strike.
Demonic red interior with a Tremec FTW

What’s up gang. Hellcat is doing great. Ordered a 2.85 pulley/green belt/id 1050 injectors. Will get custom tune done once that’s installed. Hoping for near 800whp.

Quick question…what’s everyone’s opinions on pinning the crank? Mine is 2022 and has the updated black crank bolt (which is supposed to be much better than the silver original bolt dodge used)

Thank you.

I pinned mine. I do not even know if snapped cranks are an issue on these (I would hope not at 800 whp LOL) but did it for insurance nonetheless.

Lots of opinions on it. I feel pretty good since my bolt is the updated version. I’m not making crazy power with a 2.85 so I will probably leave it.

It seems far fetched that cranks are snapping at that power level. The hellcat motor is pretty robust.

I planned on pinning mine until I read about the updated bolt.
It usually won’t snap the crank but shear the crank pulley as it’s not pinned like Ford blower crank/pulley.
I’ll wait til I talk to my tuner but he used to recommend pinning and I’d prefer that piece of mind.
@Diablo Mike might has some insight.

Noob question here, but would it add significant cost "while you're at it?" I had the Z06 crank pinned while it was getting the cam and tune and it was relatively inexpensive. The motor's ready for boost (not that I'll ever do it), but since they were already in there farting around, it seemed like some added peace of mind. Just my two cents...

Is there a reason you can’t just pull the updated bolt, add red locktite and reinstall? From my understanding the old bolt would come loose on rare occasion, which is what created the issue.

I understand the thought process but if I were going that far I’d just pin it.
I think it was like $400 additional to add the crank pin.
Hellcats use a clutched upper pulley so if you ever change the upper to a non-clutched design I’d say you really need the crank pin.

im doing the griptec 2.85 upper...not sure if it's clutched or not.

we pinned our 19 redeye with a 2.75 non-clutched upper. Seems to be simple insurance once you have it all apart.
