Whats up gang...I am leaning toward buying a very low mileage 2022 Hellcat for around 55g. My plan is to build a mid to low 10 second drag car that is still streetable...I am not getting rid of anything to get it, just finally have the garage space to do something like this (recently moved).

Couple questions for the hellcat owners...

1. Is the regular HC with the smaller blower and 717hp worth it? The sticker on the car I am looking at is 80g and the car has less than 3000 miles on it...the redeyes command a good amount more but have the bigger blower...how big of a factor in this for my goals?

2. It is a non wide body...doest this hurt putting wider tires on the back?

3. Will a port, TB and custom tune be enough to get me into the mid/low 10s or do I need to plan to do more?

4. Any other weaknesses buying a regular HC as opposed to the redeye? It is worth it for me just to spend 20g more and get a redeye?

Pics of the one I am considering...kind of an odd spec but should be fun.

I would say if you can get a red eye widebody do. Its more that just a bigger blower ,its beefer internals ,bigger fuel system ,dual fuel pumps ,added cooling etc .In other words all the things you would need to reach your goal anyway prepackaged from the factory .

Bottom 10s on gas are easy with the 2.4. Intake, demon injectors, and upper/lower pulley. Super easy if you want meth or e85. You are running right up to the limits of gas though. Mine pulled timing but I was fine with it. (My tuner claims that STOCK hellcats pull timing on 93.)

I had a non widebody and ran 305s. They bulged a little but I actually liked the look. It hooked up and rode great.

I prefer the non widebody. The widebody looks overdone to me.

Mine was the exact same as the one that you are looking at but with black Alcantara.

If you are thinking stick you will have to stick to hellcat vs Redeye.

I think Jokerz is near you?
Should be able to hit your goal non ported but always good to port.

I have used him for porting on a few of my cars. If I can avoid porting with just the pulleys I would. Much easier than waiting a few weeks with the blower off.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but a port is probably worth one pulley.

What fuel are you running?

If e85 or meth I would do it, but not if you are on gas. You are already out of fuel with a lower. It doesnt make sense to port just so you can run a larger upper.

There was a member here not too long ago who was selling his. A beautiful black one with several go-fast modifications. I think he lives in Connecticut and believe he was in the funeral home business. Can't remember his name.

Def wanna keep it simple...i am no stranger to the mod game and I prefer easy mods that don't require "promises" from shops on getting work done in a timely manner.

If there is a pulley/tune combo on 93 octange I will take that and call it a day....lol.
