Has anyone seen times for the auto that were NOT done by Motor Trend or any other magazine (I already know those times)??

I would think a sub 13 sec car will be easily attained once a few basic parts become available..

Before anyone asks why a auto, I already have a 5 speed in the Cobra and while I love that car (more than I want to admit), I would like to get this new model in an auto and not mod the p*ss out of it. Well not too much anyway- ( I have been to therapy for that vice ) :rollseyes

Saw one last week. 14.3@97.
I'm pretty sure it was an auto...couldn't hear it at all though so I may be mistaken.

I spoke with Justin Burcham this afternoon. He had a customer with a brand new, no modification, automatic 05 go to MIR with the paper tags still on the car and run 13.53! Nice ....

started to mod it(I bought the car in 96 and at the time there was very and I mean very little aftermarket parts available then I aquired the R in 98 and the rest is history, now my wife drives the car and she says "it's fast enough" because every car I get becomes an obsession.
now that I got the 03 I've put the R on the back burner not to mention my son is going to be 16 in two more years and I promised him that he could have the car or I would get him a Vet "reluctantly" (must get that from his mother side FN bowtie lovers LOL)

Did you buy the "R" from "Peffley's Ford" in Dayton?? I was thinking they got 2 put back back in '95. I know they had at least one plus one '93 "R". The son(Peffley's) has a Boss 302 and at least a couple "R's"..

BTW what did you do to that "R" for those kind of speeds?? 392 stroker/better heads & lots of boost??

3rd question- Where are the gas stations in Dayton that sell the Turbo Blue or 110 leaded?? ( my Dad lives there & I have yet to see any) Thanks

1. no I bought mine in Virginia Eric still has his "R"s and is a great guy!. that is who I bought my 03 off of(after I built my R I drove it over to his place and showed him tried to get him to race me that would have been a classic match 2 Rs duking it out on the street and nobody would have been none the wiser.

2. my R has a built 331 with a Procharger F1-R @ 16#s boost that Jim Summers of A.S.S.C built for me ( it would be the last motor that he would build before going to ATI ) controled by a F.A.S.T. bank to bank, Weldon 2035A fuel pump and I had Tom over at Peformance Automatic ( another bunch of terrific guys who listen to the racer) set me up a PG with a Precision Ind. converter.
and went with Tommy's stuff over at TRZ out backfull blown race suspention (and yes i still drive mine on the street)
Anthoy Jones Y2K-Member full tubular control arms bump steer kit and the list goes on and on and on I will include some pics. of my car.

3.now fuel is a touchy subject alot of people don't understand that there are probable 50 different types of fuel to put in your car and end up using the wrong kind with bad results ie. poor performance, detination, I use Torco C-16 what is the intended use of it? then I can help! there's a place called Duncan Oil located off RT.35 on 849 Factory rd. # 937-426-5945 that carries a performance based fuel I think it is around 110 octane that is where I would buy it(it's great for high comp street cars) at if I was you.you can get it from 1 gal. all the way up to ?

this is the R

I never have been to Kil-Kare but heard of it.

Yeah that's all I wanted to find - a place that you could fill up a couple gallon container to mix in the street stuff. I'm not running a F.A.S.T. system/sub 10 sec car (YET) ;-) .
BTW -Did Torco buy out VP Race Fuels as VP was making the C-16 leaded??

Was Eric able to get his hands on a Ford GT through the dealership for his own personal stash??

Happy Holidays,
Todd

13.5 bone stock in a 5 spd auto sounds good to me. Add a set of 4.10's,exhaust,CAI, some pulleys, a reflash and I'm thinking mid 12's.

She probably figures it will be harder for you to make it into a sub 10 sec car & maybe she gets tired of cracking her shin bones on the swing outs when entering/exiting the ponies. LOL

I had Pauls Automotive Engineering in Cincinatti do the R (standard tubing) and RaceCraft in Streator Ill. do the SSO car (Chrome moly) both do extremely excellent work!!!and come highly recommended!!! but since then we have est. our own shop so we can do all our work in house. we will be doing cages, engines, suspension work, nitrous refilling, race gas, and lots of other stuff as well.

What will be your shop's name & where is it in Dayton??
Do you have area exhaust specialists that can do top notch stainless long tube headers??
If so pm me so there are no issues with your advertising on here..

Thanks
