So I did a few roll races last week and something didnt sound right in the rear. I pulled the car over and didnt see anything, so I went home and got it in the air for another mod.
I decided to look the suspension over to avoid any future issues and I happened to look at my Whiteline Upper Diff Mount and it is pretty much cracked all the way through in every area it can at that back part of the mount on the diff!

I will be calling Whiteline tomorrow, but has anyone seen this before? The part is maybe 3 yrs old and probably not even 5K miles on it.
I am shocked to see this at the very least

thanks for the response. Damn, well I guess Im glad its not a "just me" type thing so they cannot argue its an isolated thing. Its still within warranty period so I will see if maybe they will replace with their adjustable one.
If not, ill sell the replacement I guess and get a BMR next time through

I believe they've since redesigned it.

I see they have an adjustable one that looks beefier. I may see if they will replace with that and I can either try it or sell it and buy the BMR to replace it with

As sort of mentioned, their first design has no bracing between the bracket and the tube and has been known to fail. I’m not sure when the redesigned arm was released, but its been gusseted to prevent this failure. I’m glad to see that you inspected it, rather than say “eff it” and risk catastrophic failure.

I mean yea it could have been really bad. I planned on going out and making passes to test the CHE braces. I’m glad I remembered to look it over.
Hopefully they are decent to deal with and don’t leave me hanging too long.

I'd be surprised if they don't replace it. Post the outcome.

Yea I can’t imagine they won’t. It’s still within a month of warranty technically.
    I will deff post response.
    Thanks much for the help

They made a pretty good amount of trash a few years ago. IIRC they wouldn’t admit fault initially. Swore I’d never buy anything whiteline, and made sure I told everyone else to stay far away. Redesigned or not, I’d still stay away.
OP, even if they’re willing to replace free of charge, would you still want their stuff on your car?
Would you be able to trust it?

Cmon dude, there is no way you can make an assumption like that from that pic.
Lol, This is a car that just turned 30k miles and hasn’t seen bad weather except when I drove it home as far as I know of.
I think what you guys think rust is is different than most.
A car that has an OEM catback, not original to this car that has surface rust like every other car on the planet does not mean it’s seen rough times or rusty
A single piece that has cracked paint and shows rust does not mean the car is rusty.
The car has typical of any car that has actually not sat in a hermetically sealed container. Questionable hardware showing surface rust and the diff showing surface rust and the font control arms. Again all pretty typical.

I’d honestly get the replacement and sell it for a diff product.
This surprises me and maybe they were bought out or something, but Whiteline was never a bad brand years ago

I have 40k miles on my 2008 and dont have any signs of the rust i see from your cat back and UCA. Thats why i asked. Thats a lot of rust for 30k. Must be left over salt on the roads i guess then.

Again, these are not the original axle backs.
The upper shows like the paint has cracked Awhile ago And moisture just beat it up a little.
I can most certainly tell you that on a hot day and cool steel, it will keep condensation on things. Car hasn’t been out in a week and there was condensation all over things. It’s natural. If anyone tells you
    Otherwise they are crazy.
The car was originally a New Mexico car for a number of years. Then came up north and probably has only seen snow the one time when I drove it home from Chicago after buying it. I immediately washed it and undercarriage washed it, but there isn’t much you can do. It happens to call cars.
Next you’ll tell my your SRA housing doesn’t have any rust on it. Lol

That had rust from the factory. Probably from sitting out side in Michigan winter.

Anyway good luck on your replacement.

Thanks. I don’t mean to sound like I probably do, but trust me this is normal. I have never owned a car that hasn’t shown more than this. If you get under your car enough, you will see things like this. You can’t control natural chemical reactions.

The arm deflects too much, yields, and tears. Van blew this one out of the water a few years ago and Whiteline addressed the issue with a beefier arm. That said, I'd move on to another manufacturer such as BMR, etc.
