I'll preface this with the fact that I have a lot of friends with Z06s and a lot of my friends think they can/could beat my car. The last race was the closest with the Z06 being at 640rwhp on MS109 and 3200lbs race weight.

At 4120+ lbs race weight (no idea why I had a full tank of fuel lol), I did some work on them. Our gearing is absolutely perfect for the 1/2 mile. I end up going 165mph towards to end of the day which was the top of 4th.

Enjoy!

Badass! I had a silver Z06 just like the last one you raced, but it was stock. I know how hard those cars pull and I love my Shelby more! Nice video.

Awesome videos and strong Shelby!! So he was a 1000lbs lighter and you had 100 rwhp on him. Worked out just as it should imo.

Crazy how big of a difference there was between the two hci Z's...

Nice kills Justin, your GT500 runs damn strong, I had a blast at my half event last week and yes the 13/14 GT500s are perfect for half mile event.

The timing equipment wasn't working for most of the morning but once it got working I was doing 154 to 156mph, but I'm making 683WHP right now.

For reference, what does a stock car trap in the 1/2 mile? I know in the mile they trap around 174mph.

I would guess a stock 13/14 would trap around 144 to 147, although I could be wrong. All I can say is I can't wait for the next one.

Awesome vids that looks like fun.
Love the color too, makes me think I'm watching my own car :)

So how does that start work? Roll up to the start cone at a certain speed?
I trapped 138mph in my car before the ported blower, 4th gear at 1/4 mile with some rpm left. Guessing I'd need 5th with the 4.10/29" combo.
Looks like fun.

You basically get rolling up to 40ish MPH than you pass the cones and hit it, till you pass the 2nd 2 cones. With your car having 4.10s than ya will definitely be in 5th. If you want to do half mile events you will want 3.31s
