Guys with cold air kits

Just curious, but those of you with some sort of cold air, how big is the filter in the fender?? Im looking under there, and i cant see stuffing more than a 6-7" filter in there... is this about what size they come with?? Seems almost not worthwhile, if the filter is so small..ideas? opinions? What do you guys think is better, the fenderwell cold air, or the huge 12" filter with a heat shield??

I agree with you. There doesn't look to be much room in the fenderwell. I'm thinking that the huge filter with the shield may be the way to go. When the car is moving, I can't see heat being much of an issue.

I just ordered the Densecharger kit. Has always been good for power in my other stangs!

I dynoed with the mods below except a stock size K&N filter in the stock air box without the silencer at 454 rwhp and 451 rwt SAE. I put on a 9 inch conical filter and jumped to 464 rwhp and 461 rwt.
