im trying to keep this last build budget minded.

I have a set of stock manley h beam rods with new arp 2000 hardware.

will they hold safely 800-1000 rwhp.

I ask because this is what the motor made before on the street/race tune.

I really do not want to buy billet rods unless I have to

so what are you guys running?

People have ran 800-1k+ on a stock bottom end. I think you already know you made the right choice with ARP 2k hardware. As long as the rest of your build is up to par those rod bolts will more than meet your needs.

I think you have nothing to worry about with a stock crank/rod setup with good arp hardware. Put a good piston on it and get a quality tune and you should have good luck with it.

In 10+ of messing with these cars I have never seen a broken or bent stock rod. Not to say that it hasnt happened, but the chances are slim...very slim

I'm pushing 1000+ and have for quite some time with stock rods and ARP 2000 bolts. And I beat the living daylights out of my car. You will be good to go man.

One other thing I forgot to mention was I had my stock crank and rods cryo'd way back in the day. Not sure how that improves reliability, but I surely don't think it hurt anything. Might be something you want to consider.
