Every time I hear someone say they can't find ammo what they really mean is I can't find ammo for a price I'm willing to pay. There's always ammo

This. Tons of ammo around me. I like seeing it sit on the shelves though. Eventually it will hit pre-pandemic prices after there is a surplus.

Just bought this one on Gunbroker! S&W Model-19 .357Mag 3" barrel. Performance Center version. I should have it next week. Can't wait. Unfortunately, there's no .357Mag ammo available, and even .38 Special is hard to find.
Ive wanted a 357 ever since playing Resident Evil as a kid, thats a seriously nice piece. Shot my bro-in-law's Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan 454 2.5" and it scared the piss out of me until I actually shot it. Thought I was going to brain myself for sure. Go figure, a 2.75 pound with a short barrel shoots softer than you think. It was his Kodiak deterrent when stationed in Kodiak Alaska.

Go to ammoseek, there is plenty of .357 mag available. Granted it may not be the price you want to pay, but it is there.
Thanks, I'll check that out. NONE of my regular ammo retailers have any .357Mag ammo in stock. No local gun stores have it. TargetSportsUSA is my regular supplier and their headquarters is in my hometown. They have none. And contrary to what Dusten "thinks I mean", I don't mind paying a higher price since I don't need a big supply. Until you posted the AmmoSeek link I just couldn't find any. So thanks for the AmmoSeek.com link. Got to go order some ammo.

Further fueling the Mosin collection. I’ve been after an original configuration M91 for a while and now I have 2. One without cleaning rod (solution pending) is American contract that was sent to Russia for WW1 and very shortly after that Russia had its civil war, and both of these guns are Finnish captures. Pretty much guarantees that they are war veterans without witnessed testaments. Shorter one was made in the 1920s and filling in the missing decade. Five decades of them. All 3 are hex receivers, but the 1920s should be in the configuration of the other two. But when Russia went to communism, they had a bad habit of not paying for new guns. So, they converted older models to their updated variants.

I found and bought 2 mosins.
One i refinished with the darker finish and need to put a new front sight that can give me more elevation on sighting. But can hit the pie plate at 100 yards.
The other is some sort of laminated stock version. I Havent Shot yet.

Recon any leads on ammo for the mosin please PM me.

New side charger 450 Bushmaster upper from Bear Creek Arsenal, old PA Raptor ACSS 1-6x with an old lower. Will be going with a 100 yard zero. Spending quality time with the FIL while pistol caliber deer hunting is the explanation I used.

Well, I really thought I would like it a lot, but after two visits to the range I can see it isn't going to work for me. :( It is an easy gun to carry and maintain, but accuracy with a revolver takes a LOT of practice and I don't have that kind of time unfortunately. Double-action, horrible. Single-action, likely requires re-sighting and/or a lot of practice. I know part of the problem I'm having is the 9mm loads that I'm used to have less recoil than my .357 Mag and .38 Special ammo. I love 9mm. And the shorter 3" barrel, even though it's fluted, has more recoil than I'm used to. I'm convinced that I'm meant to use a 9mm pistol. My 9mm Shield is still my favorite carry and my 9mm HK VP9-SK is my favorite gun for the range and for accuracy. I've always said it feels like an extension of my hand/arm. The HK is still my favorite gun.

I hesitate to post this sidenote, but I have to to help explain why I bought this revolver in the first place. My range didn't have a revolver for me to try out first, SO.....based on my thorough search of review videos and comments from staff at the range I use, I took a chance and bought it. I know, I broke the cardinal rule of trying out a gun before actually buying it, but unfortunately I really didn't have a choice since I wanted it sooner than later. I'm going to the gun store that I use (local) this morning to see what they'll give me for it. I know I'm going to take a monetary hit, but I'm fine with that. No sense keeping a gun that I know now isn't the best for me, plus buying a larger safe to store it in addition to my 9mms. Lesson now learned! :(:)

Sorry to hear, Bob. Sounds like you got ”spoiled” by the VP9... trying a new gun, especially one with new action, ergos/caliber can be challenging... takes time to adjust.

With that said, if you don’t feel putting the time into it is worth it to you, who are we to judge... Stick with what works to you!

You'll probably just be out the sales tax. I'd throw it on Gunbroker and sell it.

Got the range and zeroed in at 50 yards (yes the target was upside down), my groups are the ones touching, the flyers were already there from my FIL's Ruger 450 American. Weathers going to be crap tomorrow so I will only be able to go out on Sunday, second rifle season is only the 18th and 19th. Wish me luck!!!

Group 1: 2 shots, right below the 10 ring. POA, dead center.

Group 2: 4 shots, bottom right. POA, top of bullseye circle.
