I run a Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP on my Savage 338LM. I haven't had any issues with it

Very nice setup!

And that looks like a FUN setup. What's your primary use for that rifle?

It’s my rooftop perimeter defense gun. Lol
Just target shooting for now. I might try to take a deer or elk with it one day, but I’ve never hunted before.

Went to a large, local gun shop yesterday hoping to find (or order) a S&W Shield Plus with red dot optic. Not only were there none in their large inventory, but you can't even order it. Ordering/finding a gun locally here is so convoluted because shop have little control over inventory, having to take what they get. Most don't know what they're going to get until the delivery arrives. Sucks, because now I have no chose but to buy out of state from a store that will even ship it to CT.

Nice set up but that is a cornfield deer gun at best. You will regret that set up within 5 minutes of an elk hunt. your scope weighs almost as much as my mountain rifle LOL.

Grabagun had those advertised in their latest email. Buy from them and ship to your local FFL

Holy crap! THAT is a 1911 that I've never seen. A Trump MAGA Edition from Auto Ordinance. I just showed it to my wife. Hmmm. Our anniversary is coming up in June.

Check out gunbroker.com. I got mine thru fuquay on there. They list one every once in a while for a starting bid of $1,199. That's what I paid for mine. I'm thinking of getting the bronze KAG version 4 as well.

Saw this bad ass pistol in this month's NRA magazine. It blows me away. It was be an absolute blast to shoot.

KelTec P50: First Look at the New 50-Round 5.7x28mm Pistol - COMPLETE WITH TWO FN P90 MAGAZINES, THE ALL-NEW KELTEC P50 LOADS BY LIFTING UP THE BARREL AND SLIDING THE 50-ROUND 5.7X28MM MAGAZINE IN.

keltec-p50-left.jpg

And just like that, 2021 is off and running. Leave it to KelTec to reinvent the wheel in ways that are either brilliant or totally unnecessary; but we think its new offering falls under the former. KelTec just introduced its all-new P50 pistol in 5.7x28mm and it’s interesting, to say the very least.
First Look at the KelTec P50 Pistol
If you’re not sure exactly what you’re looking at, good—KelTec has a knack for that. Historically, the company thinks way outside the box, as evidenced by releases like last year’s integrally suppressed, folding Sub 2000 carbine or 2019’s CP33 pistol. KelTec certainly stretched the limits of creativity with the all-new KP50.

Firstly, the P50 features a 50-round mag capacity; that number alone draws attention. But how KelTec incorporated that capacity is even more jaw-dropping. The company managed to keep the pistol relatively compact by allowing shooters to lift the barrel up and slide the magazine in. Yes, you’re probably understanding that correctly.

Then comes the actual magazine itself. So KelTec based the P50 platform on the FN P90 50-round magazine. The company says, "The beast comes with two of them" -- so that's sure to make shooters happy.

Another feature we kind of breezed past is the caliber. KelTec chambered the new pistol in 5.7x28mm, which has seen a bit of resurgence as of late. Ruger spiced up the 5.7x28mm market in early 2020 with the release of the Ruger-57, an obvious competitor to the long-unchallenged FN Five seveN. Well, now you can throw the P50 into the mix. We’re interested to see what kind of velocity and accuracy the P50 can achieve.

Lastly is MSRP, which comes in at $995. Meanwhile, KelTec says the pistol begins shipping in the first quarter of 2021. That’s all we have for now, but you can believe we’ll be first in line for a test. For even more info, please visit KelTecWeapons.com.

KelTec P50 Specs
  • Caliber: 5.7x28mm
  • Weight (unloaded): 3.2 pounds
  • Magazine Capacity: 50
  • Overall Length: 15 inches
  • Barrel Length: 9.6 inches
  • Barrel Threads: 1/2-28 TPI
  • Overall Height: 6.7 inches
  • Width: 2 inches
  • Trigger Pull: 5 pounds
  • MSRP: $995
