How do you like that? I'm about to move back to Alabama, and get my CCW again.. I'm looking for a carry gun..

I like this gun and the VP9sk.. I would like to get both, but how does this one shoot?
It's been my daily carry since I got it. Will definitely be my primary carry for the foreseeable future.

I love the way it shoots. With the Trijicon HD sights the point of aim/impact are spot on. The mags also fit in the little key pocket on blue jean's which I like.

Only problem I have: It only comes with two mags and Glock still has yet to start shipping spare mags. Not a huge issue and a temporary one at that.

I've never shot the VP9sk. So cant say much on it. Everything I've read has been positive though. I do have a P30sk with the light LEM and a P2000sk in standard LEM. Both are quality firearms I just never really shoot them anymore and I've never shot them nearly as well as I do my Glocks.

Edit: oh and I totally agree with the get both idea!!

If those HKs are lonely and looking to be fondled, let me know your price. Then we can get our FFL Shops in contact to complete this lovefest legally.

I will keep that in mind, for sure! Everytime I start thinking about selling one I go and handle both of them..... Then I cant get myself to do it lol. They feel so darn good in the hand! Unfortunately that doesnt translate into superior shootability, for me. At least compared to a Glock.

Not sure I've ever posted pictures of them here:

I like my VP9SK a lot as well. Shoots and feels great. I should have bought the LE version, now I'm trying to figure out what night sights to get.
LOL. I'm talking to my range guy on Friday about night sights. I actually like the white painted sights on my VP9SK but night sights remain on my list. I'm leaning towards the Trijicon HD Night Sights.

I just got back from the range. Shot my new Sig P365 and my newly purchased (used) Kimber Ultra Carry 45. The Kimber was so much more pleasurable to shoot. I shot the Sig first, 2 magazines then moved on to the Kimber and never looked back.

I love me some Defender and Officer sized 1911's! They are great carry options being so thin, and they have such great shoot-ability being a 1911. Heck I even love the Mustang clone options from Sig, Kimber, and Springfield. Awesome little pocket guns.

At 40 I purchased my first gun. Partly due to our culture not wanting me to have one, and the other part due to a psycho I dated. A Stevens (savage) 320. Bad picture, but I took that right when I got it, and the other is my target after the first time I ever shot a gun. Currently in the process of trying to get my pistol permit. Lots of red tape in New York.

I went to the range and shot at 1,000 yards yesterday. First time ever. It was pretty fun. It was raining and foggy, so I wasn't able to get any video footage. It's supposed to be clear next Wednesday, so I'll try to get some video.

I wanted to share something I found really entertaining... the audible feedback when I hit the steel targets. There is a 1.5 second flight time before I even see the target move. Then there is about 2.7 seconds delay for the sound to get back to me. There is almost 4.2 seconds from the time I pull the trigger until I hear a hit.

Its one thing to read about it. It puts a smile on my face to actually experience it.

I sure hope Brannons Ford Rd is closed/blocked east and west of the shoot point.

Only thing i need to change is the pinky extension on the magazine base plates.View attachment 1549879

The P30SK is a nice pistol. How is the recoil with the shorter barrel?

Yeah, you'll like it more with the pinky extension. I have 8 magazines and they all have the extension. I'm just not crazy about the standard flat base. The pinky extension just makes the pistol fit/mold into my hand grip so much more comfortably.
