i know the big thing these days is e85 but I don’t want to deal with the pump crap and ignite etc is expensive. Regardless of cost I really don’t want to use e85 I’ve seen to many good engines go bye bye with the crap. Anyone ever use the shell race gas at the pumps? I have sonoco shell by me at pumps. If not anyone ever run the gulf 116 unleaded?

On my 100 octane tunes Ive run Sunoco with good results. 18lbs of boost when I was running a TVS and no sign of detonation. No experience with Gulf 116.

I totally understand the cost involved to run e85 is... adverse lol. A good combo with 18-20 pounds of boost and pump 100 is just fine. But If you test the ethanol before every fill up to verify its content, you can run ethanol and greatly benefit from its properties.

Cost to run it can be high (return system, injectors etc), but long term on a high powered street build it will pay for itself.
