I've been on idle, and haven't done anything to my car since February.
I don't know if it's just the mod bug, or feeling uncomfortable not having a new mod or what. Am I fkn normal?

I really like my 2011, how much more money do I sink into it?
At NO time in the last year, have I said, "I need more power, or I wish it would go faster." I think its more of ascetics and sound is what I'm chasing now more than anything. I know I am not the only one who thinks this way, but yeah.

    Winter Mods Planned
    Kurgan Cams
    2.9 Whipple
    Headers o/r H pipe

My car has 50k miles on it, and was stock up until 44k miles. Mechanically sound now @689/667 Gen2R

Probably finish up with 750rwhp and around the same amount of torque I have now on pump 93.

BUUUUUUT, now I am in the position where I could sell my current car, and get into a '13/'14 but I would have to start all over....clutch, suspension, GEARS.

The reason I would like to get a '13/'14 is it would be lower mileage, has some better components and I think in 10-15 years from now, it will have more of a collector following.
I'm 45, and would like to have it paid off in 5 years. It would be my last Shelby I purchase.

I owe $23k on my current car and would have to start all over at around the $40k-$46k price tag

Do I love it or list it?

I would skip the cams. I’m of the mind that less is more. Anytime you tear into an engine something else can go wrong.
To me it would be two options:
Cheap, 2.9 on 11. If you choose this route you could have money for the 20 used in about 5 years or so.
More expensive, 13 tune and pulleys.

For what you are going after, I think you should sell yours and get a 13+ or a different platform.

If it were me though, I wouldn't considering you are a few years away from paying off car.

Also, we are twins so my opinion carries more weight :)

Keep it. Yeah '13 & '14 are special cars but you're not really getting a lot going from an '11 to a '13. And a lot of people prefer the gearing of the regular GT500 over the '13 & '14.

Unless you have to have the "collectability" of a 13-14, I wouldnt get rid of your 2011. Youre a blower swap away from meeting and exceeding the factory 13-14 power. Unless your ego needs a 13-14, the 2011-2012 5.4 is a better performance platform with a lot more parts available to fit it.

I would skip the cams as well. Also, why the blower switch? My impression is that there is not much difference b/w 2.9 whipple and gen2R. best bang for your buck is to keep current set up and go to corn. That plus LTs has got to be worth >100whp.....

lol, lets not steer the thread in "that direction". It's an appearance thing. Polished Gen4 is appealing. I have one available station with e85. E85 is not a deal breaker, but it's my understanding that I wouldn't be able to run the tank down to say an 1/8th of a tank and than fill up with 93? Maybe the knowledgeable can chime in?

After having a '12 & trading for a '13, you know my vote.
Nothing wrong with the earlier cars, but the '13 was a well worth the money switch IMO.

The car would run really rich till you changed calibration back to a 93 tune, but you can put 93 in a near empty tank on e85 tune. I wouldn’t run it hard, stay out of boost till you can get somewhere to swap calibration, that is if you’re not keeping the hand held in your glove ebox. I also would take it easy on that first tank, likely to be a little lean once back on a 93 tune with the leftover E85 in the tank. That is all assuming you have tunes that you’d be switching between. In the coyote world we have flexfuel tunes, which doesn’t require you changing calibration between E85/93...however I prefer to run separate tunes for both. I have been on E85 for years and count on one hand how many times I switched back to 93, usually if I was going to be on the road and no where near an E85 station.

689 is a pretty good number lol. How is the suspension? A lot of guys pump up the motor and forget about solid suspension components. That might cure your "itch". If you get bored, just sell it, and buy a Viper lol.

Clarify, I would have 2 separate tunes in my SCT. I'll continue to explore this option.

Suspension is upgraded with all the "normal" bolt ons. Adj shocks and struts already. Could be better, but isn't bad. Everything has less than 3500 miles on it

I know all to well, change one thing, you invite 6 additional things to be changed or modified. Thanks!

Thanks for everyone who responded. Maybe I was just having a moment, but for now, gonna keep my 2011 and just clean some stuff up. Perhaps headers and some E85 after xmas sales, once I get clarification.

Cheaper car payment, and I really like the Kona Blue.
