Everyone seems to want to weigh in on these street pulls. I just figured I'd post them without an opinion and see where it went.

The outcomes are pretty much as expected. Not much to discuss. Even though the CTS-V weighs a bit more, it has 30 more HP and over 100 more foot-lbs of torque. The 5.0 versus GT350 was a foregone conclusion. Ford would have some SERIOUS explaining to do if the GT could run door-to-door with the GT350.

The cts-v also has less down force and drag coefficient. It's more slippery.

It's the same reason why Mercedes saloons perform quite well as speeds rise, inspite of their power to weight.

A 650~hp stock amg s class does like 207mph, but a 650hp z06 does 190 because the aero and downforce are completely different.

A gt350 will hold a corner much better at 150 than a cts-v for the exact same reasons it's going to lose a race to 160 with one.

Gt350's have gearing and aero to hit hard from 40-130 or so. Top of 1st through 4th. 5th is a dog and 6th probably doesn't even pull any accelerator g force after 150. It's a .63 with and engine that doesn't make 400tq until 3500rpm.

I don't have a lot of personal experience with CTSVs. So, I was wondering if the blowers are that loud in stock form or not. I figured that they'd be pretty muffled.

depends on where the mic is. It may have a CAI as it made my blower much louder. Mine(ctsv) traps 119 bone stock so I could see it barely pulling on a GT350.
