I have 13,000 miles on my GS-D3 315/35/17's and they look like they wont last more that another 2,000 miles. Has anyone else had this experience? I dont know of any other 315 tire that has as good a combination of traction and wet weather capability.

I think you should stick with the GS-D3's. I've had them on my car for awhile now, and I love em. As for tread life, well you're driving on an ultra-high performance street tire. It's not gonna last forever. Considering the abuse that I dish out to my tire's, I'd be very happy to get around 15,000 miles out of them. I know that they're expensive, but like you said, I don't know of any other high performance tires out there with really good wet weather traction.

After about 8,000-10,000 miles on my GSD3's (315's) I can't drive in the rain anymore with them. Just ordered my third set today. No burn-outs with these either, street driving.
