I had upgraded cover and dif bushings done at a shop in Plymouth. He is not a Cobra specialist but runs a very professional operation and does high quality work. The shop is super clean and if the car needs to stored overnight it is stored inside.I supplied the lube locker gasket and other dif parts.I was charged around $900 labor. The shop is called Driver Edge and the owner is Mike.He also has a Facebook page.

Where are you located exactly? I do a lot of mustangs through the Toyota dealer I work for in Nashua Nh. Multiple people on here have gone to me for work. I also have a few customers that bought mustangs as second vehicles and only let me work on them there. Pm me if interested

What is a good price? I make a good living with hands, so I usually don't put pressure on professionals to be the cheap guy.

I can't quote a price as it was over 2 years ago but I know I paid a lot less less then that and I didn't supply any parts . As far as the shop that did yours I've read couple horror stories lately about them one being a gear install on a mustang and owner told the customer to pound sand after a month and something wrong with the gears lol .

Are we talking about the same job? It is hard to find a shop local that I would leave my car with. My first instinct was to go to the Ford Dealer in Wareham. But after talking to a clueless service manager and seeing all the mechanics there looked like Muppets. I went with Drivers Edge because they do a lot off high end work and have a great reputation. Low price has never impressed me.

I missed the part about the mustang gears. Where can I read about the horror stories?

So just re read your answer and looks like you upgraded your bushings . I didn't do that at the time I had my rear re sealed back up . But iirc if I did it wasn't that much but like I said that was couple years ago .

If your happy with them that's all that matters . I only chose Kevin to do my rear end work as that's basically what he is known for read end work .

As far as the gear story saw it on Facebook local guy in Plymouth don't remember his name . But had an older fox 86 maybe .

Your car is a 03 04 Cobra? Mike does not come off as BS artist type of guy. There has to be more to the story than the guy on Facebook could convey in a short post. The Ford Dealer wanted more $. If I supplied the parts and something went bad with the install related to the parts, I would not expect the mechanic to stand behind the work.

Another vote for Kevin in Hanover. Extremely meticulous and very easy way to deal with. He is the man with ford rear ends

Kevin Schnyer does have a very nice shop. Its clean with good quality equipment. I know a lot of guys that have gone there and been happy. You're best bet is to avoid Dez at all costs. If you are close to NH I know Performance Dyno does some work other than tuning.

You really aren't looking to do a major job. Any competent mechanic should be able to do this quick for you.

What is the address and number for Kevin Schnyer's shop?
