Im looking to upgrade my clutch/ flywheel on my 99 . Whats a good setup? Im trying to decide between the 03/04 and the Fidanza clutch and flywheel. 03/04 clutch and flywheel?? Fidanza Aluminum flywheel $265 shipped Fidanza 2.1 clutch kit $255 shipped My car is all street and a daily driver im looking for a good setup for 500hp.
The promotion clutch I mentioned uses a stock cobra pressure plate but an improved disc with a shim spacer, gives stock pedal pressure and feel, with great grip. $329 An oem 03/04 clutch is probably in the $250 or so range. Check Tousley ford ask for steve.
The 03/04 Cobra clutch is spec'd only for 425 hp/ft-lbs but it'll hold a decent amount over that. Plus it is cheap, cheap, cheap. I got mine for $225. I like it a whole lot better than the Spec I had.
i have the fidanza 2.1 and the alum FW. I love it. smoth as silk and lighter than stock pedal preassure. I love it.
aluminum flywheel is a great mod. You are in there anyway just replace it. My 4000 to redline is amazingly stronger after the alum flywheel and the x pipe
Im thinking i will go fidanza Aluminum flywheel since i can get it for a steal and it only weighs 12.75 lbs and a 03/04 clutch. I will let everyone know how it drives..
