This may have been posted already or is common knowledge but I was shocked at the crank bolt differences between the Ford mod motors and GM LSx motors. No wonder guys have had issues snapping crank snouts with aftermarket lower pulley kits.

I'm getting ready to do a cam swap in my G8 and I am also putting an SFI balancer on the Mach so ordered ARP bolts for both. This is why the CTS-V and ZL1/ZR1 can use a 3 belt crank pulley with no cage.

I think I remember reading in someone's build thread Broke7 I think. He said he modified his snout to accept an ARP crank bolt for a Mini Cooper.

the ls's use a much tougher press than the fords. Since ford is smart and actually uses a keyway. Gm pullies only stay on with a press(except for the factory supercharged ones). It sucks installing blowers on gm's and chryslers because you have to drill/pin the crank.
