Getting stationed at Ft Lewis. Wa Utility question.

I havent lived in WA for 10 years so i am not really up to speed on the current cost of living. I am getting stationed at Ft Lewis in Oct. What do you guys pay for utilities in the Tacoma area? I am planning on getting a place in Spanaway or Puyallup... Thanks!!

I live in spanaway (zoned) but closer to graham/frederickson physically.

3BR/2BA 1600SF house with gas water heater, gas heat, gas stove.

Sewer - $70 every two months
Garbage/Recycle - $64 every two months
Power - ~$70 every two months
Water - ~$20 monthly
Gas - ~$25-35 in summer, $90-130 in winter monthly


Our property tax on a $160k house is around 270 a month, as well. Crazy high.

Cost of living is high and BAH just dropped here which sucks unless you grandfathered in.

Stop by krispy kreme in puyallup (south hill mall) this weekend fri/sat. sometime between 9-1030. My car's always there, I'd love to check yours out too. Some shananigans going down sat night if you catch my drift...

I lived in Spanaway, and puyallup when i was at mchord. Puyallup was nice, especially towards the south side. I cant remember the housing area my ex lived in. Past albertsons i think..

Heck yeah I used to take my cobra to this meet with the wife and kid it was a good time! I heard some of the guys meet near McChord now as well.
