I'm building a car and using all OEM 2016 Mustang GT wiring ECU, BCU and I'm wanting to strip away all the SRS system and ABS system. I am want to use the OEM dash and cluster. Is there any way to eliminate the alarms and warnings but keep all cluster completely functional? Basically same as a strip down GT only with functional OEM dash cluster info

I haven't done the swap, but in my research, you'll be better off using the Ford control pack to run the powertrain. What model vehicle are you putting it in?

My buddy did the swap, he has just a tach and a dead dashboard.

Following, because if you find out how, I’m sure he’d like the info

Oh wow... sounds like an incredible build. I have no idea about that setup

ok i will post if i have an answer I'm wondering if it's just going to be a matter of just pulling ABS and SRS module and relay from fuse panel IDK

Not saying swaps are his jam but @Vinnie_B may have some insight on using the OEM electronics.
Might involve using Forscan and/or Ford dealership scanners.

I don't think stripping out the SRS module will be that big of an issue but the ABS module will have a much more profound effect on the Powertrain control Module (PCM) and software application. Plan on jumping around many COMM issues and other hoops if it's even possible, with OEM software. Good Luck!

SRS, probably doesn't matter, but not sure if ABS not working at all, does it just shut down TC/stability, etc... with no other side affects?

Might be worth borrowing a known good car. Pull out the ABS fuse and do before/after full datalogs (HP tuners can log without tuning, IIRC), even live data off a scan tool of braking pressures, etc. Whatever you think might be affected.

The ABS module is on HS-CAN2. Because HS-CAN2 operates at a maximum data transfer speed its designed for real time powertrain and driver feature information transfer and control, I'm not sure software/comm wise the conflicts that may arise for the PCM. Several modules comm with the ABS module on the network. RCM, CCM, VDM, GWM, BCM, FCIM, PSCM, IPC and PCM. I believe the biggest concerns may be with the PCM @OX1.

But you could datalog those modules, even one at a time, before and after with live data, no?? (logging parameters you decide are important enough to see if they change). Or are you saying scan tools can't log as fast as the data travels between the modules?

I was playing around with Live Data of the "height" sensors on my Fusion, as I'd eventually like to log them on the 500 (on track), see how any changes in aero affect height changes in those sensors (on long high speed straights to minimize variances). Data rate is not great, but we are talking $1000 Autel POS scanner too.

Probably still better using control pack.

Different animal but I run my ‘14 without ABS (full time delete or traction control) and can datalog the engine side without issue on street/dyno/drag strip.

I don't think data logging parameters will be an issue OX1. What I'm trying to say is I don't know how and/or what software conflicts (Powertrain issues, Possible Limp mode issue) will arise with the PCM doing an ABS module delete. I agree with your comment below. It would be the easiest way to see what you will be dealing with before the actual swap.

You are right about different animal. The newer the vehicle the more complicated it becomes because of more complex networks and oem software.
