Gears chose....too steep?

Alright,

To you who read my last post about gears.....i decided to get the PRO-5.0 3.90 gears.

Do you think that is still as steep as a 3.90, traction-wise.

I just wanna hook up and i cant manage that now but i will be getting some slicks soon so it doesnt matter. Thanks. Anyones opinion is appreciated. Thanks

3.90's won't be too steep. In my opinion, for street/track use, anything over 4.10 would be too steep.

Check my sig. Even if they are too steep and I don't think they are, I plan on running 15 inch wheels with 29 or 31 inch tall tires. I haven't been beat by anything streetable and the only car that is close is a 01 SS with every bolt-on he can buy with Et STreeets and a 150 shot and I still had him by 2 tenths.

keep the stock gears if you want to even hook a little on the street......great choice for the track with 25 to 26" tires too....

Good to hear some praises for them. I think im going to order them from PRO-5.0. They are the only ones who make 3.90s that i have seen. Ill see what the steepness is like in the spring when they are installed i suppose. Good Luck to all!@:beer:
