Gears? - 4.10 or 3.73 ??

Guys,

I searched the archives and found where this subject was discussed before, however I want to hear specifically from '00 R owners on this??

I know Joe J has 4.10's and loves them, but I would like to hear from anyone else who has done a gear change? maybe someone with 3.73's instead?

I am of course looking for the optimal gears for road racing track use... with an occasional visit to the drags....but that is certainly not the intended use for this car.

I am just afraid that the 4.10s will be a bit excessive??

Thoughts on this please?

As far as I can remember, Joe is the only one that has done a gear change on this board. I can't but help to believe that a gear change would drastically help the R, but I really don't know which would be better.

With the 6 speed tranny, I certainly don't think you are going to run out of gears with the 4:10's. It's a tough call.
