Gas guage going nuts!!

This just started happening a few weeks ago. When I fill my car up completely the gas guage goes to " E " and the low fuel light comes on. It goes away after I drive for a few miles. Any ideas what causes this, it's getting annoying... :cuss:

sounds like the float in the gas tank needs to be replaced. I had it happen to my explorer. You may also want to replace the tach too. BUT STICK WITH THE FLOAT FIRST. and if that fixes the problem dont worry about the tach.
