Funniest BOV sound

I really respect and love Supras, but this has got to be one of the funniest bov sounds.

It's not the bov, it's compressor surge, and it's horrible for turbo's. That turbo is spinning at +100,000 rpm's and the t.body closes and all the pressure trys to spin the urbo backwards. but yes it does sound funny

whats the remedy for compressor surge?

A bov. The blow off opens when the throttle closes. The air goes out of it instead of going back to the snail.

I'm not sure but I'd guess that if you have a huge turbo or blower and a tiny BOV then yes you'd get surge.

Yes, if the BOV isn't big enough to let out all the pressure to prevent compressor surge.

*edit* I've even see people with 2 BOVs to prevent it.

A compressor can surge with the throttle open too. A BOV is not the cure all! Look at the Garrett GT series turbos with surge ports. Those help.
