Fuel Tank vapor valve

HI all,
Got a 1999 Cobra 6 months ago and found a hole in my fuel tank due to rust. I bought a new fuel tank from LMR, but I cant get the big fuel tank vapor valve out? I got the little one out, just not the big one.

Anyone ever take these out that can tell me how to do this. I have already cut the tank up, just cant pop it out.

I've never taken one out, but I imagine there is a plastic lock ring from the bottom perhaps.

It's just a tight fit. I think I had to replace mine when I swapped to the 03 tank in my 01.
