I need to know how the fuel filler tube is connected to the frame. Is it bolted at the bottom? I have it all loose except on place on the bottom. Do I put the gas tank back in place then stick the tube in the grommet? I just bought this car and it is so rusted out I have no place to even put the jack on the side. lol It has run good so far. It has a bad fuel smell in the passenger compartment. I could see no leaks at the fuel pump so I thought it must be the grommet. The grommet was good so I am trying to put this all back together. I also broke the retaining nut thing that goes on the grommet. I need some advice please. I have always had a truck in the past.
